This artwork consists of many different layers and scattered pieces. Most of the composition is taken up with the sea, and a quarter of the image is the sky.

[waves and harbour ambience]

There are two hills in a row located in between the sky and the sea. The mood of the collage is happy. You can feel the breeze while searching the elements through the waves. There are vivid blue tones and a crowded scene of Istanbul and the Bosphorus.

The composition is divided into five different horizontal layers. Seagulls are the dominant element.

There are four big seagulls, laughing, grunting, and squawking while flying and facing right in the foreground, where the first and second horizontal layers are, and there are four smaller seagulls scattered in the background.

On the right side of the second layer is a huge white boat with green and yellow details, greeting the city with its whistle. It is beyond one of the big seagulls.

The third layer is in the middle of the composition; on the left is a breakwater with a white lighthouse. This breakwater is covering up the half of the third layer. There are three small boats and seagulls in this layer.

The fourth layer is the last sea layer on the background of the composition, and there is one bigger and one smaller boat, a small seagull and Haydarpasa port on the right with colourful cranes.

On top of the last layer, on the left, there is a small part of the sea and a tiny boat. The main part of this layer is a green hill with minarets, mosques, Topkapı Palace and a castle at the skirts of the hill.

There is another hill on the right which is grey; on it is a tower that resembles the Galata Tower with many buildings below.

I created this collage by colouring thick watercolour papers with gouache paint and then shaping it by tearing, cutting and pasting them layer by layer. To finish, I added some details with coloured pencils.

A large hairy white man has gritted teeth and hunched shoulders while they furiously doodle a simple self-portrait on a drawing tablet. The scene is drawn with cartoon lines and coloured in various shades of rust. The artist has large glasses, thick wavy hair, and a full beard. They are dressed in a waistcoat with a pocket square, and a button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up. Strong squiggly energy lines emanate from them as they scribble.

In the self-portrait illustration of the artist İpek, a girl with long, orange hair captures our picture using a blue camera. With one hand, she presses the shutter button, while the other adjusts the lens. Her hands are a light, pale orange, and she wears a blue-green sweater. In the background, there is a softly textured sky in a light pinkish hue. The wind tousles her hair in both directions and atop her head, an orange snail gazes to the right. Five blue birds ascend on the right side in the snail's line of gaze. Just below them, a single dandelion flower tilts to the right in the air. The stem of the dandelion is blue, with a spherical flower, and pale pink seeds extend from thin blue stems at its center. A brown rabbit sits with its back turned, on the girl's hair flowing to the left. To the right of the rabbit, two blue, soft-textured clouds hover in the light pink sky.

A self-portrait of Beyza drawn in cartoon style. The image shows her shoulder-length blonde hair with bangs drawn like spaghetti. She has a warm, light skin tone and red cheeks. Her big round eyes and smile are shown on her face. She is wearing a pair of purple earrings and a necklace with a pink stone on it. Behind her hair are turquoise and purple flowers, one on the upper right and the other on the lower left. The background is a plain, cool-toned white.
